Ordering, Shipping & Delivery Details

For Glass Art Prints & Large Float Glass Units

The company has standardized shipping using  USPS, UPS, FedX and various independent freight lines, but alternative shipping arrangements can be made if required (if you want to ship with your own carrier), we are happy to work with you.

Here are approximate crate/ package sizes and weights:

  • To calculate the size of package use (Actual Glass Print Width + 4") and (Actual Glass Print Height + 4")

  • Standard Package Depth is 5"

  • To calculate approximate weight including packaging this is done per square foot of glass. To get square footage ( Actual Glass Print Width x Actual Glass Print Height)/ "144" = Total Square Feet for Glass Print. Once you have this you can estimate the weight by multiplying the Total Square Footage by the following which is based on the thickness of the glass:

  • 1/4" Thick = 5.1 lbs

  • 3/8" Thick = 7.2 lbs

  • 1/2" Thick = 8.8 lbs ( Single Layer and Double Layer)

  • 3/4" Thick = 12 lbs (Single Layer and Triple Layer )

The type of project will determine from which printer manufacturer your order will be placed. Illuma has established relationships with various geographically strategic resources. It's best to plan around a manufacturing lead time of four (4) to six (6) weeks. Add the shipping time onto the production time to estimate delivery.

Each order is treated equally, and enter the file conversion queue in the order they are received. The manufacturers do NOT allow expedites, so please plan accordingly.

Keep in mind that production times are long because there is a considerable process involved with the file prep, art file conversion process, and glass production process.  Since it's custom made we want to get it right the first time.

All International orders need to be handled on a case by case basis.  Please email us at support@illumastudio.com to discuss the details.

Shipping prices will vary based on the destination, size of the glass art print and the level of service required. The larger the print, the more it weighs, the more packaging, handling, special considerations, etc. to take into account.

For Digital Print Transfer Wall Murals

When these prints are delivered to us, we will contact you upon receipt to make arrangements for installation.  Installation charges are billed separately on a per-project basis.

For 3D Canvas Prints

Each print is individually wrapped in brown paper and then packaged into a styrofoam lined carton.  They are light and therefore can usually be shipped through standard distribution companies such as USPS, UPS, and FedX.   Because these are manufactured outside the U.S., it takes eight (8) to ten (10) weeks, then we need one (1) week to do the in-house quality check and then we ship them to you.  So best to figure on ten (10) to twelve (12) weeks from our receipt of the original painting to delivery of reproduction(s).  The length of production time includes the initial scan and compositing.
